The Year of Homemade Gifts

Everyonce and a while I like to be crafty and this Christmas I really tried to make gifts for people rather than buy them. I made some fun coasters and two tile photo boards. They turned out much better than I thought they would. Adam helped me pour the acrylic glaze- it's a messy job- perfect for a man. Check it out-

Here are the Coasters-

Brodie was very helpful ;-)

Adam and I drew Rhonda and Rudy's name in the Veach Family Secret Santa, so we made them this tile board-

Crazy Auntie Therese and Uncle Adam

I think we have officially taken over the "crazy" auntie and uncle role. I have to admit I found one nice thing about not having children yet (really it's been the most frustrating experience EVER) but the one nice thing is that we are able to dive into our nieces lives, we have nothing else to worry about when we are around them. We love being auntie/uncles. We get to spoil and ruff house. It's the best!

Christmas #4- Veach Sr. House

The saturday after christmas we all got together with Adam's family at his parents house. It was so fun to spend time with his family. We love seeing everyone and playing with our nieces.

Christmas #3- The Granato's

Christmas night we all went over to my grandparents house for dinner. My Grandpa makes a huge meal of homemade lasagna, chicken parmigiana, eggplant parmigiana, meatballs, sausage and mushrooms. It's a feast set for kings and queens. He is the best cook EVER! I only hope I can someday cook as good as him. I know he gets it from his very Italian family- his mom. I always look forward to having this dinner. We get to catch up with my Uncle Jon and eat until we are busting at the seems. My grandparents are some of the best people I know. What a great way to end Christmas day.

Christmas #2- The Aoki's

Adam had to work on Christmas Day so I ventured down to my parents by myself. For as long as I can remember my sister would be the first one awake on christmas morning and would wake the whole family up before 8am. The three of us kids used to all sleep in the same room on christmas eve with our new pajamas but that stopped once we got into highschool. Now that we are older we are able to get a later start in the morning but Kat was still the first one awake tracking everyone down and waking everyone up. She better hold that tradition. We spent the morning enjoying mimosa's and coffee and opening presents.

4 Christmas

Adam and I were so fortunate to have 4 Christmas's this year. We had Christmas at our house, Adam's parents house, and my parents house, and my grandparents. It was a little hectic and crazy with Adam working both Christmas Eve and Christmas, we were rushing from house to house. But over all it went GREAT! Adam and I agreed to do stocking stuffers for eachother rather than presents. Adam got the Hangover DVD, Transformer toys , and the Seahawks Shirt. I got a new camera which was way above our $50 limit but Adam figured we would both use it, so it was the "family" camera- since Brodie ate my other one and a Seahawks shirt. Here are some pics from our Family Chirstmas at the Veach Jr. House-
