Florida Trip

Adam and I were lucky enough to take a trip to Panama City, FL to visit my dad and sisters. Adam had a lot of firsts on this trip: first time to change time zones, first time to swim in the ocean to name a few.

We spent the week enjoying time with family and seeing the sights. The weather and the people are amazing in Panama City! Adam and I truly enjoyed the "Salt Life."

It was an amazing trip and I can't wait to go back. I'm already starting to plan our next trip.

Fall is for Football

Fall is my absolute favorite season. It starts with my birthday and then continues until after New Years (well I guess fall and part of the winter ;-) I love the way the trees change color, the crisp mornings, pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin candles, spice cider and getting all cozy. Last night I was lucky enough to go to the Seahawks game with my girlfriends from work. The company I work for (BDA) just signed with the NFL and became one of the merchandise licensee, so in turn BDA has 4 nice club seats at Quest Field. The tickets were awesome and sharing it with my girls was so fun!! Here's some pictures-

Starbucks just came out with their Pumpkin Spice Latte which I love! I enjoyed my first one of the season this morning.

Wonderful Weekend

Last weekend was one of the first weekends in a while that Adam didn't have an over time shift and we took advantage of it.

Friday night we spent at my parents house with family that was visiting. My Dad's sister Kathy was visiting with her daughter and her 4 grandchildren. The house was buzzing the way it used to when we were all home. The granddaughters ranged in age from 3 years old to 13 years old. They were so outgoing and hilarious. The little ones called my dad "Uncle Bobblehead" and my mom "Aunt Maureena" too funny!! We had pizza and listened to the banging on the roof (my parents were getting the roof redone). Such a fun evening.

Saturday, Adam and I ran some errands and we were invited to the Mariners game with our friends Nick and Anna. They had great tickets- 5 rows up from the 3rd base line. The weather couldn't have been better and Anna and I spent most of the game chit chatting ;-) The Mariners won!

Sunday, we spent the day at home. I love Sunday's at home. Adam did some yard work and then washed his truck. I cleaned the house and then brought my new camera outside to test out some of the settings. I think these are Brodie's favorite days, he spent the day chasing the water that comes out of the hose and jumping in and out of the bed of the truck. It made for some pretty cool pictures.

I live for weekends like this last one, if only it lasted a little longer.

Sisterly Love

The summer has flown by! Adam and I have been super busy visiting with friends and family. One of the best visits was when my sister Kat was in town a couple of weeks ago. I miss her terribly because she goes to college in Connecticut which feels like a world away. She came home for a weekend and we had a big feast of ribs (her favorite) and played Wii bowling. It was so great to see her and hang out!! I can't wait until she graduates and moves back home ;-) Love Love Love her!

Happy Early Birthday To Therese

I've always had an interest in photography but I've never really had time or money to really get into it. When I started college I bought a SLR camera that I love, but it's not digital and let's be honest, who develops film anymore??? I've been dying for the digital camera that matches my Nikon lenses. SO......

My amazing husband surprised me with the digital SLR camera and I love it!!! I know it's a little early for birthday BUT he wanted me to be able to practice and learn all the tricks before my birthday. Brodie (our dog) recently chewed the cord to our regular digital camera so it's been out of battery for the last couple weeks.

Last night I was fidgeting with all the new settings on my camera while Rhonda and Raichel were visiting and I was lucky enough to get some shots of Raichel. She doesn't know if yet but she's going to be my model. I just love her!!!! She was doing the cutest things, She would throw her hands up and then we would all do it and then we all put our hands down- "Hands Up" and then "Hands Down" over and over again. I could just stare at her all day. I'm so lucky to have such beautiful neices I can practice on. Here's some photos from last night-

You Humble Me Lord

Adam and I have been going full force the last couple of weeks. We've had weddings and birthdays and visitors. It has been a blast. Pictures and more information to come.

Yesterday we received some discouraging news. Nothing that can't be fixed or treated but still disappointing. Yesterday I was diagnosed with a syndrome that will make it a little more difficult for Adam and I to start a family. I will keep you all updated on what's going on.

But just when I was feeling down about it, two angels were standing at my door. Rhonda and Raichel stopped by for a visit and gave us a card and the Willow Tree "Angel of Prayer." Someone was watching out for us, Rhonda and Raichel were able to say and do everything we needed at that exact moment. Adam and I have the most incredible support group filled with friends and family. It's amazing how humbled I felt after they left. I couldn't be more thankful.

Grow old with me, The best is yet to be!

Saturday August 1, 2009 was our 1st wedding anniversary. It's amazing that's already been a year. I spent the day wondering what I was doing exactly a year at "this exact moment." Playing out the day in my head over and over again. I never want to forget the way I felt on that day or the little details that made our day so special.

Adam planned the entire day and made it such a wonderful surprise.

We stared the day with a motorcycle ride with the Marysville Police Department to sponsor the Special Olympics. It was a beautiful ride and we were so fortunate to have Adam's parents (Clint and Rox) and his sister and brother in law (Mandy and Greg) to ride along with us. Picture's to come soon.

After the ride, Adam told me that I needed to be dressed up and ready to go at 6:00 pm. We left the house and started heading towards Seattle. Adam took the scenic route in hopes to keep the surprise alive. He took me by my high school and down along the waterfront, all the while, tricking me into thinking we were going to different places. We finally arrived at Rays Boathouse- what a beautiful restaurant. It sits right on the pier in Ballard. As we entered in the restaurant everyone already knew who we were and kept congratulating us. Adam hand picked our table in the corner with views of the ocean, where we had the most amazing dinner of steak, crab legs, corn soup. Adam convinced me that he had forgotten our wedding cake topper, I tried to cover my disappointment and order a dessert off the menu. As the waitress took our dessert menus I could see our wedding cake topper out of the corner of my eye, all lit up with candles. The cake looked and tasted as good as it had a year ago. Then the wine man came over and opened a bottle of wine we bought on our honeymoon in Mexico. The evening was magical. Adam couldn't have planned it better. Cheers to many more amazing anniversary's with my amazing husband. Thanks Adam!
